Bernadette Soubirous (played by Jennifer Jones) is a sickly 14-year- old, who one day sees a vision of a "beautiful lady," and from this never suffers her illness again. Amazingly, a fountain materializes near the location of her vision which seems to heal visitors who bath in it. At this point the story of Lourdes unfolds as Bernadette who received more visions from Mary, is taught how to save sinners by the Queen of Heaven. This inspiring film does an excellent job playing out this incredible story.
