This excellent documentary reveals seven marvelous wonders of the ancient world and the people responsible for building them. Philo of Byzantium, approximately 2,000 years ago, compiled a list of two statues, a temple, a roof-top garden, two tombs, and a lighthouse. Ancient Romans considered these to be the seven great man-made wonders of the world.  Out of these seven, six have been long been destroyed, some by nature and some by the misdeeds of humans. Only the Great Pyramid of Giza still stands in its original form and is the oldest wonder. Some estimate it was built around 2600 BC, and others estimate it is even older. The other wonders include the great Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesos, and the Pharos (lighthouse) at Alexandria. This wonderous film tells the story behind each of these wonders, and the cultures responsible for the construction and function of each structure. A great video that reveals how the world was at the birth of Christianity.
