This powerful drama, Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee - is a true story about one man's brave stance against savagery during the 1994 Rwandan conflict. During this deadly civil war, countless gruesome atrocities took place in this African country which were almost unnoticed by the rest of the world. In the face of these horrors, and inspired by his love for his family, an ordinary man summons extraordinary courage to attempt to save the lives of over a thousand helpless Tutsis refugees. He opens his hotel for these displaced and hunted people who are the minority population of the country. The militia turns up at the gate of the hotel and then the tense drama heightens.

A film of this magnitude can inspire all of us to not just stand by as racism and persecution threatens several groups of people in the world today.
