This exceptional made-for-television production tells the true story of Ina Balin and her work in an orphanage during the final days of the Vietnam War (In the film she actually plays herself). At the time of the fall of Saigon this courageous lady with the help of other women run an orphanage in this city under siege. Here is the story of how these women help to evacuate hundreds of Vietnamese orphans prior to the communist forces entering the city.  This film reveals the desperation of the situation, where under the pressure of time they try to cut through government red tape to airlift the children to safety in the United States. An excellent movie that shows an island of care and compassion in a city full of panic and anger.
