After the death of King David, his son Solomon succeeds him and inherits the crown. The new king decides to follow the laws of God and remembers the advice of his dying father. Consequently this wisdom produces a just and benevolent young leader. He later falls in love with the beautiful Queen of Sheba, who when hearing of his fame decides to meet him in Israel. This beautiful and truly exotic queen decides to test Solomon’s knowledge by carefully studying his manner of leadership. Although the affection between the two monarchs increases, her duties as a queen require that she return to her homeland. After she returns home, Israel continues to prosper, but King Solomon becomes heartbroken and slowly his increasing wealth corrupts him. Gradually his kingdom begins to collapse as Solomon’s effectiveness and control wanes.
