The Apocalypse

Length 96 minutes

During the first century of Christianity, this infant religion was in peril. By 90 AD the persecutions within the Roman Empire were increasing and the Christians seemed doomed. Held captive within a Roman work camp, the aged apostle John struggles to save the religion from extinction by sending letters to the small but determined Christian communities. John also receives visions during this period of time. He records the visions and these records are also sent to the communities. Once all these records are accumulated together the contents forms the Book of Revelations. To some, they are prophecy about the end of the world and to others, they allude to the spiritual struggles facing Christians of all eras.
This last Book of the Bible was born during a time of strife and maybe also predicting future trouble for the now mature religion of the Catholic Church.
